Breast Lift

This patient is 46 and wanted a lift with a small reduction.  She also wanted some body shaping so she underwent a breast lift with liposuction to the areas around her breast: the pre-axilla, bra rolls and upper abdomen.  She looks and feels fantastic!  Shown here before surgery and four months after surgery.

The Basics

A breast lift, medically known as mastopexy, is a surgical procedure aimed at raising and reshaping sagging breasts. Over time, factors such as pregnancy, nursing, weight fluctuations, aging and gravity can cause the skin to lose its elasticity and the breasts to lose their shape and firmness. During this surgery an experienced plastic surgeon removes excess skin from around your areola or from underneath your breasts; then tightens remaining tissue for higher support by suturing deeper layers of breast tissue together which helps maintain new contours more effectively than just removing fat alone would do so on its own accord without additional structural reinforcement provided through these internal stitches used during operation itself.

Who is a good candidate?

People opt for a breast lift not only due to cosmetic reasons but also because it enhances physical comfort in various activities that might be hindered by excessively large pendulous boobs like running or jumping where excessive movement could lead discomfort even pain sometimes if proper sports bra isn’t worn.

It’s important to understand all potential risks involved with any major medical intervention including scarring infection changes sensation nipple/breast area general anesthesia complications among others before making decision go ahead with surgery after consulting qualified healthcare provider who will evaluate individual case give personalized advice
