HALO by Sciton

We are thrilled with this amazing result in our patient with skin of color.  HALO was able to even out her skin dyschromia (variation of pigmentation) and provide a balanced, even complexion.  It also significantly improved her pore size on the forehead, nose and lip, traditionally referred to as the “T-zone” of the face.  Shown here one month after a single treatment, she is thrilled and so are we!

HALO by Sciton is an advanced laser treatment that uniquely combines two types of laser technology—ablative and non-ablative—in one device. This hybrid fractional laser system is designed to address a wide array of skin concerns, including sun damage, fine lines, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, acne scars, and enlarged pores, offering both resurfacing and rejuvenation benefits.

The Basics

HALO operates by delivering controlled laser energy at different depths of the skin. The ablative component removes a thin layer of the skin’s surface, prompting the body’s natural healing response, which includes collagen and elastin production. The non-ablative component penetrates deeper into the skin to stimulate additional collagen growth, without removing surface layers. This combination allows HALO to effectively treat both superficial and deeper skin issues simultaneously.

HALO offers several unique benefits due to its hybrid nature:

  • Customizable Treatments: Practitioners can adjust the treatment intensity, depth, and energy levels to suit individual skin types and goals. This adaptability allows HALO to target specific concerns with precision, catering to each person’s unique needs.
  • Reduced Downtime: Compared to traditional fully ablative lasers, HALO generally results in less downtime and quicker recovery. While there might be some redness and swelling after treatment, the recovery period is shorter, typically lasting a few days to a week.
  • Versatile Application: HALO is suitable for a wide range of skin concerns and can be used on various parts of the body, not just the face. This versatility makes it an excellent option for those seeking comprehensive skin rejuvenation.
  • Long-lasting Results: By stimulating collagen production and resurfacing the skin, HALO can provide results that last for several years with proper skincare and sun protection.

Who is a good candidate?

HALO is ideal for individuals looking to improve skin texture, reduce signs of aging, and address sun damage. It’s suitable for people who want effective results with a shorter recovery time compared to traditional ablative lasers. HALO is also adaptable for different skin tones and types, but it’s essential to consult with a qualified practitioner to determine if it’s the right choice for your specific needs.
